Secret Code-Word Activates Jewish a cappella "Hive Mind"

Listen Up!'s archivist, Lou, at work.
Having archived our old recordings on "audio cassette" and placed our past newsletters on "floppy disks", Chicago's very own Listen Up! Jewish vocal band is careening at "warp factor one" into the techno-future. Of course, this is not a path... a derech... for the timid of heart. Much as our hearts still race as we stand an arms length away from the microwave as its evil magic warms our meatloaf, we are not sure if this new technology can be trusted. Sure, the kids think it's "neat". But, that's what they said about "rock 'n roll" and look where we are now.

So, with much thought and planning, your hometown vocal band is jumping into the tempestuous waters of the Internet with the moxy that has made us known (and I might say, feared) in shuls across these great United States. Our e-mail newsletter - Listen Up! Online - will be published via Blogger at the this address:

You may visit this page as often as is advisable. You may also subscribe to this page to receive a ping whenever a new post is made... follow the links within this page to do so. Or, more advisably, find a patient and willing 12-year-old that you can pay hard cash to show you how all this works.

Since watching "Barney Miller", "Hogan's Heroes", and "Taxi" with such affection, the members of Listen Up! have decided to try our hands at serial daytime drama. Much like the unassuming sophistication of the Latino Novellas, we will be bringing to you - our faithful fans - a new episode of.... um,... our rehearsals, gigs, and other antics via another web-based behemoth:

Would you trust this guy?
On YouTube, you may also become a subscriber to our "channel" and get ping'd each time a new video is posted. However, at this point many of you may be asking, "Isn't there a simpler way to stay updated?"

Indeed, there is. Coincident with this e-mail, you should receive another e-mail that prompts you to become a fan of our new FaceBook page. You can follow the links to that page within the e-mail, or you may simply click the graphic below to Like our vocal band's page and get hitched up to the wagon. FaceBook magically, and perhaps insidiously, will integrate all of these new features together. Our new bass vocalist, Noah Mishkin even tells me that - sometime soon - we will be able to use Twitter to receive tweets from you. I'm up to date on all of my vaccinations, but you might want to check before you try anything like that.

Throw caution to the wind,... take a deep breath, and click the link below. You won't be sorry that you did.
